We welcome you to discover a little bit of the "OLD WEST” is right here in the remote area just
north of Heber-Overgaard in North Eastern Arizona. Take the Forest Service Road (504)
approximately 20 miles through the Sitgreaves National Forest.





















As you approach the higher desert elevation of Chevelon you will see some locals - free range
cattle and elk grazing.























It’s a terrific spot to get away from the heat, with summer temp’s in the 75-85 range, cooling
drastically in the evenings. This is the quiet isolation that brings campers, hikers and hunter’s here
all the time.
























The road’s are accessed on the 504, the 153 and the 95 Forest Service Roads, which don't require
4-wheel drive except during Monsoon and Snow Storms.  






















There is a School bus that runs daily out here. The roads are maintained by the Forest Service and
are gravel/dirt.

In some of the area’s you can see the San Francisco Peaks, or enjoy fishing in nearby Chevelon
Canyon.  Horse back riding under the star’s is a favorite pastime. You can join the Deer Run and
Jackson's Hole watercooperatives operates wells in the area, or you can drill a well on your own
property.   






















Properties are assessable from Winslow or Heber. You can obtain a permit from the Forest Service
to gather dead wood to heat your cabin, or use a generator.  You can also get a permit to cut your
Christmas Tree!
